Project: Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche Dharma Center

This project will establish Mingyur Rinpoche's first dharma center in North America. Very Venerable Mingyur Rinpoche will be the spiritual leader of this dharma center. Activities will include teaching, empowerment, meditation, and retreat.

In order for a lay person to attain enlightenment, one has to accumulate merits and wisdom. A stupa represents Buddha's wisdom and enlightenment. Through building a stupa, one can make connections with Buddha's wisdom; thereby purify a donor's bad karma, liberate oneself from cyclic existence and march toward enlightenment.

This dharma center will hold several hundred people. We will be able to receive teachings, to meditate, to hold retreats and to circle the stupa. Through the merits accumulated from these practices, we will step toward the road to enlightenment.
